One more important tip, after a while the agent will suffer in its outputs because it is reaching its context window. Have it summarize your project copy and start a new session and paste the summery, continue from there. That will fix the bad outputs.

One more great thing is that you can attach an image to the prompt, for example a screenshot of the design you need to implement, and ask to actually implement this UI. Quite helpful sometimes! I've heard that Windsurf supports adding a configuration file but I didn't use it. Did someone try it out?

I am a Product Designer and just created my whole portfolio website with this. It's crazy. I have some Development knowledge from very early in my career... but it even creates SVG animations for dark mode toggles... creates the javascript... mindblowing. I also told it to steal just my content from my own website. Couldn't save the images i had to do that manually, but overall. Wow.

Great tips here especially about when the code is actually changed. Working in swift sometimes Windsurf is too smart for its own good and breaks other things I didn’t want to change.
