The best programming language is the one my boss tells me to use.
If you are halfway into learning something and stumbled upon this and is confused and contemplating to start learning the mentioned languages, DON'T, JUST DON'T. Finish learning whatever you were doing. Make sure you got the fundamentals correct.
No matter what you’re learning, you should be learning something else 😊
C is still the basis of everything. If you are interested in deep system work, C is the go to language. It is also still used for a lot of embedded work.
But you missed the biggest thing about C++ and C# is that your 2 primary gaming engines Unity and Unreal utilize them
TLDR: TypeScript: Default language of modern applications Python: Control plane for AI and automation Go: Infrastructure and back-end leverage Rust: Long-term bet for secure, low-level systems Java / C#: Anchors you in enterprise reality
