It has Angelina Jolie in her prime, who cares what the movie is like.

A video game movie adaptation that actually has the characters in it? That can't be real.

Angelina clearly studied the game and learned Lara's characteristic mannerisms and movements. An actual performance with some reverence for the game. I was very impressed with this when it came out.

This film is like The Mummy, it doesn't take itself seriously and leans into the moments of dumbness with a grin. These are the types of films we need now more than ever now.

The Tomb Raider movies for my generation was where young boys went from fantasizing over triangle bewbs to actual ones

For me Angelina Jolie is Lara Croft, just like Robert Downey is Tony Stark. Nobody else can walk in those shoes

Angelina Jolie in 2001 looked exactly what I imagined pixelated Lara Croft would look like IRL.

Angelina is noted in the industry for playing her roles with exceptional perfection to the source material. She's like 2000's female Henry Cavill.

Angelina Jolie shaped my view of the perfect woman in my youth. And certainly not as a barbie, but as a strong willed lead persona as well. She was a boss without being the typical kind of arrogant, undeserved, hateful girl bosses we see today all too often.
