There's some serious irony when shows call out corporate greed when the only reason the show exists is corporate greed.
Is the xenomorph technically a Disney princess now?
Starting to think the whole 'children in adult bodies' concept exists because the writers can only write what they know.
When the actress has a Lord Farquaad haircut, that's a definite red flag
Let's be honest: when we saw Alien for the first time, I think all of us were thinking the same thing: 'Xenomorphs should be depicted as oppressed victims.'
managed to take one of the most terrifying creatures ever created in cinema and turn it into a disney dinosaur pet.
"Did IQ's just drop sharply while I was away?" has to be one of the most underrated movie quotes of all time.
This cost over 250 million dollars. I think I've solved the puzzle why all streaming services have endless ads and keep raising prices.
The two biggest sins of this series is 1) That it is painfully boring and poorly paced. 2.) So extremely pretentious. It's clear that this series DESPERATELY wants to be profound and deep, something about humanity, transhumanism, family, greed, Peter Pan, and way too on the nose "satire" of Tech bros like Zuckerberg and Musk. But in the end the show is very shallow, and incoherent. At least Romulus didn't try and pretend to be some deep intellectual piece of art, it was a paint by the numbers Alien movie with cringy fanservice. This story in this show is so bad.
Somehow got 3 episodes in. Asked wife “ You got any idea wtf is going on?” She didn’t either. So that’s that; yet another steaming pile of time theft.
