I’m in the sports betting industry and it’s 💯 a public health crisis. The amount of people losing money that they can’t afford to lose is insane.

Kosta, I like your goofy humor when you do the reporting and stuff, but your subtle style in this interview played well with Jon. You should lean into it even more and hit people with the goofy stuff when they don't expect it. The questions you asked and the serious tone you were able to keep while staying in line with the show's identity was awesome.

Adding "friction" as a concept is so simple yet so clever.

If only we saw this coming. Thank SCOTUS for making a ruling without any forethought. In Vegas if you win they kick you out of the casino. Gambling is not a productive industry. It’s just a wealth transfer.

I work at elementary schools. The middle grade boys already talk about placing sport bets.

Kosta - whether addictions are behavioral or due to substances, the brain circuitry that is implicated is largely the same. Someone with a behavioural addiction can experience physiological withdrawal symptoms similar to those of someone withdrawing from a substance.

Another thing is how predatory these gambling companies are. They WANT to get middle school, high school and college kids HOOKED on gambling. They make it seem like its “cool” to do and you can just easily make money that way

And then you have Charles Barkley, Jamie Foxx and all the other celebrities banging on and on about it at every opportunity. Not to mention what is lost every day on golf courses is all over the world.
