As a native we love diversity. That’s why we have over 500 different tribes. Oklahoma Choctaw proudly!

His restaurant Owamni in Minneapolis is amazing! It is the best meal our whole family has ever had - and our kids enjoyed it as much as we did. Every bite was delicious!

Love Sherman's positivity. As a Canadian First Nations, we also have foods that are healthy. The hunters and gathers of old still have foods that are appetizing.

I follow Chef Sherman on Substack. He’s amazing. When he speaks and writes about Native American culture and history he doesn’t mince words or soften the language of the brutality of the past. His desire to educate and elevate is admirable. I have a copy of Turtle Island, and it’s gorgeous. Beautifully written and photographed. I wish Chef Sherman much success!
