The Urgent State of Women’s Health: Hormones, Research Gaps, and Lifestyle Impacts

Discover why the under-researched female body requires specialized health approaches, and learn the key lifestyle levers—diet, exercise, and stress management—that control hormonal balance from periods through menopause.

Short Summary

  • Systemic medical research heavily neglects women over 40, resulting in significant delays in diagnosis and suboptimal treatment protocols.
  • Insulin resistance is a primary, often undiagnosed driver linking PCOS, irregular cycles, and long-term metabolic disease risk.
  • Cycle tracking is crucial; irregular periods or losing your period when not on contraception signals immediate health concerns (e.g., low estrogen).
  • Hormonal health, including estrogen's role, dictates more than just fertility; it governs bone density, brain function, and cardiovascular health across the lifespan.
  • Menopause is often mismanaged or dismissed; proactive discussion regarding Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is critical before traditional "menopause" is reached.

This powerful panel of four top female health experts—covering endocrinology, longevity, fertility, and physiology—details the systemic failures in female-focused medical research and practice. They provide actionable insights covering menstrual cycle mechanics, the metabolic roots of PCOS, the inflammation driving endometriosis, and critical life decisions regarding fertility and perimenopause management.

Look at these 4 amazing women who support each other while speaking about such an important topic; they refer to each others' points, they look at each other, their turns nicely overlap.. no competition, no BS.

This podcast is one of the most important podcasts ever created. My wife was on birth control for 10 years, found cancerous tumors (thankfully benign) in her uterus, and because of this podcast, she has quit birth control, and feels better than ever. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for this video. I've now shared this with my daughter who is having issues eating and becoming very sensitive to dairy all of the sudden. We believe it could be hormone related.
