Description

Trial Day 5: https://youtube.com/live/UmHmGZbT_ZY Trial Day 3: https://youtube.com/live/DbRZKDLYpvM Sarah Boone is on trial for one count of Second Degree Murder for the killing of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres. She left him zipped in a suitcase despite his pleas for help. Boone is asserting self-defense and turned down a plea deal for a lesser charge of Manslaughter with a 15-year sentence shortly before trial. Boone has been in custody since February 2020, when this happened, and went through 8 state-appointed attorneys before the Judge determined that she must represent herself. At the end of August 2024, less than 45 days before trial, her current lawyers parachuted in and volunteered to take the case. The court denied their request for continuance because they took the case, knowing it would go to trial in early October. Jury selection began on October 14, 2024, after a short delay due to Hurricane Milton. The deliberating jury for second-degree murder in Florida is composed of six jurors. Dr Brannon talks in a way that is plain and simple and easy to listen to. He is not full of himself like others are. He doesn't talk down to people

3:29:02 I feel so bad for this neighbor. She looks like such a sweet old lady, but she looks so confused and uncomfortable here. I just wanna give her a hug.

okay, i'm lost. why did she tape him hitting the tv with the baseball bat (and why is it being shown as evidence by the defense); in trial it came across as though she accused him of intentionally destroying it, yet when she's recording Jorge batting it, he's waiting for her to 'get the film rolling'. he doesn't seem angry; she doesn't object to him destroying her tv. what was the purpose of showing the video? what am i missing?

"After hearing whatever Jorge said while in the suit case, she told you she got mad correct?" Her expert :" Yes" "Got mad" =/= "Scaring for her life", so it was a revenge and NOT self defense. Boom.

I'm just LOVING the implication that Sarah not realizing she's negatively impacting people diminishes that personality trait in some way. Isn't that kinda the whole point of why it's potentially an issue??
