I 100% believe her when she says nothing about the trial came across her feed. Just because a million people saw it, doesn't mean the other 7.9 billion did. If it's not your universe, it's not something you encounter. When I first found EDB & the Law Nerds, I had never heard the word 'yeet.' I remember Emily busting a gut when she read my question asking if it was slang or a legal term. Answer: slang.
Replay crew here. Speaking as an old lady (who wears purple and has learned to spit), it was so refreshing to see the foreperson so excited about being on the jury. Her focus on getting things 'right' and her care for all the jurors to feel confident were a delight. With all the f'ery going on in the world, it makes me smile to see such respect for the law and the judicial system.
Replay crew! Thanks for all your coverage, EDB! I'd rather have a younger juror than an older person who is set in their ways.
Replay crew! I absolutely loved this foreperson, I heard by the media in the courtroom that she was the juror who was the one reported on that was taking copious notes on every witness!
I consume true crime more hours a week than any other content and I had heard nothing about this case until my friend told me about it halfway through the trial. I feel confident people can find jurors that haven't heard of a case.
😂 "what in the f***ing TikTok?!" That's what I needed to get through the day. Thanks, EDB!
People are always so nasty to jurors. It's weird, I don't know what they expect?? The entire point of a jury is that they are the same as you and me. They HAVE to be the most normal representation of the local population.
I find these juror interviews fascinating!
They also wouldn't have said 'dish' If the juror had been a man
I've seen one of the interviews that Jeff Lacasse did with police. In that interview he said that Wendi talks s**t a lot and is basically a pathological liar so he didn't really think much of the hiring a hitman comment. He was focused on what was happening with their relationship. I would really recommend watching his police interviews. Aside from him saying non-stop that all of their interactions were really weird he did say a lot that provided insight into Wendi's personality that were interesting.
