So rule number 1: if you do crime, DON'T WRITE A BOOK TELLING ON YOURSELF
I cannot believe we may finally see justice in this case. Thanks Emily for keeping us up to date. 💛
Justice for Tupac🙏🏻 . I wish Afeni Shakur could be here to see her baby boy’s murder get justice. Many don’t know that Pac was literally in his mother’s womb as she sat in a jail cell as a political prisoner. Not only that, Ms. Shakur represented herself in court. She exposed government corruption through her questioning of state,s witnesses, and she was acquitted! Her defense also led to her co -defendants being freed as well. May 1971 she was “free” and Tupac Shakur was born in June 1971. I pray that justice will come for Tupac finally.
Omg I’ve been looking for the full story then I was like, when in doubt Emily will unfuck it for me. 💜
The goat Emily covering the goat pac… im locked in❤
Omg Emily we are very close in age and I live in NYC and the murders of Tupac and Biggie were all anyone talked about! The one good thing is that the night Tupac was shot- one of the members of his crew “the OutLawz” was in the car behind Tupac. His name is EDI Mean and he is still alive! So maybe they spoke to him and he was able to provide some insight. He had a lot to say about the whole thing over the years. When Tupac was in the hospital, the OutLawz took turns almost guarding him. They said they had weapons in the car bc they were afraid whoever shot him was going to come and try to finish the job. So, they never left his side. So sad. Both Tupac and Biggie were so damn young- they had their entire lives ahead of them. Breaks my heart. Thank you for covering this!!! Enjoy your trip!!! 💜
I never thought in my lifetime (or perhaps ever) that we might see this murder solved. I can barely believe that after DECADES this guy was dumb enough to write it in a book and (allegedly) incriminate himself for the crime. WOW.
Keefe D has been telling his same story for a lot of years, and he wrote a book that is a wild read. He has been on multiple interviews telling his stories, many right here on yt, he has spoken to LEO at least twice, an officer at the last "interview" with the Feds and LEO when he agreed to a proffer was Greg Kading, who recorded the entire thing. While Kading says it was common practice to secretly record such testimony, no mics were visible and Keefe D was unaware he was being recorded until Kading later released his copy to MSM for payment, I think he was telling his side of events. The fight that took place after the Tyson match was over a Death Row chain, Baby Lane, Keefe's nephew tried to take it from a Piru member of Death Row and he was beaten badly as well as suffered a separated shoulder. Needless to say this infuriated Keefe D and the South Side Crips, along with other tension that had been building toward Tupac and Piru, Death Row. Tupac dropped a song that was no holds barred, a blatant diss track on South Side, at a time when these things were all the motive they needed- "Hit Em Up". South Side took great offense, the hit was ordered- not by Keefe D, but by a much higher up that is still alive, very wealthy, and now keeps his name out of everything to do with this crime. However, the snitches, the reports from Death Row and Bad Boy, Keefe D, people who were there Mob Boss James, Reggie Wright Jr, Baby Lane, (review djvlad) remember vividly who called the shots, had the money, and the power behind the scenes. Keefe D was primarily a drug runner who got his South Side crew to do his dirty work. The white caddy they used that night was found in a body shop being repaired, the casings were left in the car, I think the gun was, too, but I'm not positive what actually happened to it. The car was a rental and Keefe arranged for it to be returned to wherever it had been rented after it was fixed and cleaned. The thing that kills me is LEO knew all this, the evidence is all old, there was nothing new to be discovered. Between the non stop bragging of Keefe D, the ego of Kading capitalizing on the case as if he solved it all by himself, and 70 or 80 South Side Crip informants that snitched after being given the option of long prison sentences or pleading out and telling everything they knew- which lo and behold lined up with what Keefe D had been saying all along- this could have happened while Tupac's mother was still alive to see it. The stories the old gang bangers relate are fascinating bits of a terrifying time in our history, but then we hear how they all grew up together since they were in grade school, their parents knew each other, most of them had bright futures, they played sports and afterward had BBQs and pool parties at Suge Knights parents house, his dad would cook for all the kids after their games. Parents were strict, they had mothers and fathers both, curfews. And how they slowly grew and aged and things changed as they took different paths in life. Lots of history of Compton, too. Beyond the tragedies, I found the storytelling riveting.
