This was an exceptional stream. You’ve taken your time to be gentle and explain as best you can. I understand the feelings, but I also understand the law.

It is because of Gabby that I pulled away emotionally from my ex! She is the reason why I am still alive today! I hope her parents win this case!

Regardless of whether or not this case goes to trial, I can only imagine the Laundries will face a lot of social consequences for their actions, I can’t speak for everyone but I seriously struggle to understand the choices they’ve allegedly made and it’s hard to feel a lot of empathy for their situation given how they chose to deal with it

If I were part of Gabby's family, I'd want to force the information out of the Laundries. However, as a member of the public, I prefer keeping the right to silence. That said, I think the Laundries are going to be social pariahs. My mom probably would have turned me in! She told us kids, "I will always love you. However, nobody else is obligated to love, like, or even tolerate you. You need to know how to behave."

I think the big struggle that people are having with the parents in this case is that everyone would HOPE that people would have a moral compass in this kind of situation and turn the murderer in. It wasn't what happened here, and to a lot of people that's just unfathomable.

I appreciate you continuing to cover Gabby's family and the civil case. It's an emotional case. You are explaining the laws and corresponding emotions with empathy and clarity.

Bertolino being 'friends' with the Laundries for two decades as well as their lawyer may be why he (in my opinion) bought them an extra two weeks time pre-manhunt to spend with their son by being VERY vague and ambiguous with his semantically-poised statement about Gabby being reunited with her family and therefore delaying the criminal side of things

She gone (i.e. missing) but he took her wallet, car and her phone.

Laundrie was a coward until the end. That letter made me so mad. Gabby deserved better

This is exactly why I never want to sit on a jury and have to make a verdict solely on the law. Because my values don’t align with only what is considered legal or not legal. My values are to treat others the way I want to be treated - with dignity, empathy, and concern for another human being.
