The worst of us are in charge. The rest of us are in shock. All of us are in trouble.

Obama clearly and objectively governed as a center right president. Thats what revealed to me the right wing voter's primary motivation for Obama hatred and backlash was inherently just racism and not anything rationally determined.

He could've stopped private equity from buying up the housing market.

I love that they let him talk and let him formulate his answers to questions that he admitted he didn’t get asked regularly.

14:30 this part was really relatable. I had a notion as a young man that evil was bred only of ignorance, and that people would change their minds and do better if confronted with facts and the reality of a situation, that morality could be solved through knowledge, and knowing how something caused human suffering, would change someones mind. And I was dead wrong. There's a lot of people who know exactly how fucked up things are, and how policies hurt millions of people, and they just don't give a shit.

I’m a white dude, but I can absolutely get why this would feel existential. I myself don’t feel any connection to the U.S. anymore, as an American. As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing this country could ever, EVER do to redeem itself in my eyes. I literally feel like an alien when I have to interact in society now.

So, Kamala, behind the scenes, had opinions she didn't want to share? That's not leadership. And it was obvious to me.
