Description

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for December 11, 2023… - Amid a continued tidal wave of admissions from across the Collective West that the proxy war in Ukraine is failing, there has been renewed focus on thinking up a new, winning strategy; - Concepts focus mostly on doing more of the same but on a larger scale, unable to explain where greater quantities of manpower and equipment will come from; - Such concepts ignore fatal flaws in logic and on-the-ground situational awareness; - There is still a focus on Crimea and the belief that isolating it is not only still possible, but the “shortest path to victory” for Ukraine; - Solutions such as expanding Western military industrial output or through innovation ignore the technical aspects of making such solutions reality; References: Foreign Policy - The Shortest Path to Victory in Ukraine Goes Through Crimea (December 8, 2023): https://foreignpolicy.com/2023/12/08/ukraine-russia-war-aid-congress-biden-victory-counteroffensive-crimea/ Washington Post - Wounded Ukrainian soldiers reveal steep toll of Kherson offensive (September 2022): https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/09/07/ukraine-kherson-offensive-casualties-ammunition/ NYT - Russia Overcomes Sanctions to Expand Missile Production, Officials Say (September 2023): https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/13/us/politics/russia-sanctions-missile-production.html Alex Christoforou - US votes against ceasefire. Name me once Ben Hodges was right about anything regarding military matters in Ukraine? These are the people we consider ”experts” in the collective west, it’s tragic!

Leningrad was completely surrounded for over two years by the Germans and it never capitulated. What makes anyone think severing the land bridge would cause Crimea to collapse? My goodness, the study of history and other cultures is absolutely dead in the U.S. and it shows with the absolute stupidity being displayed by the political and diplomatic class.

The Russians would look upon the loss of the Crimea as an existential threat to the Russian Federation. In this event, they have said that they would use nuclear weapons to preserve the integrity of the Russian state. This fact raises an interesting question, would the leaders of the collective West risk losing New York, Manchester, Munich, or Lyon, for the sake of who will eventually rule Crimean peninsula?

Great analysis as usual Brian. Thanks for your work in exposing U.S foreign policy hypocrisy and its desire for hegemony.

Is it just me, or does the FP article seem to be suggesting more terror attacks on the bridge that Russia does not use for military logistics? That won't hurt Russia - it will cause reciprocal attacks which will weaken Ukraine even further.
