Pat McAfee's Thoughts On Colts Captain Saying Team "Isn't Working Hard"

I think the worst part about the Colts being a dysfunctional mess is they still somehow aren't the worst team in the league.

I remember 8 years ago, the Buffalo Bills hired Sean Mcdermott after the rex ryan era. He went into that locker room and sold the pool table and ping pong and other things on craigslist, straight up. He made his team wear suit and tie when flying out of town and flying back into town. They cut or traded anyone who was going to not go along with a more disciplined and professional way. That first 2 seasons, he trained that team to be disciplined and professional. And once he had the culture turned around, he allowed the team to have those distractions back because he knew the team could handle it. It sounds like the Colts might be in need of that kind of top to bottom culture rebuild.

AR is in a lose-lose situation and that's just on the field. Yes He is inaccurate. Half of his balls land a mile away from the nearest receiver and you're left scratching your head wondering who tf it was supposed to go to. The other half that do get to a receiver are straight up drops. Bouncing right off the receiver's chest and unfortunately those only reflect on the qb's stats. We've lost some close games just this year not because AR is inaccurate but because the receivers drop a perfect throw on 3rd & 5

AR shouldnt have to be told not to tap out but there are things he needs to be learning and I'm fairly sure Steichen is not teaching him. I know Flacco isn't. He said, in the preseason, his job is not to mentor AR. Hell Flacco dont talk to anyone. He looks at the tablet after he throws an interception. Otherwise he's just sitting on the bench staring off in the distance.

Best part about all this is when Pat basically confirmed that the whole team hates him for continuing to just be loud and wrong about the team even when trying to "support" them 😂

No one on the team has any idea who the leader is. Flacco isn't the leader, Richardson isn't the leader, apparently. No one knows anything. It's really hard to work hard for something when it looks like the higher-ups don't care. Irsay needs to go, Ballard needs to go, and Steichan either needs to go or grow a pair. Everytime I see AR and Flacco on the sidelines with the camera at them, it looks like Flacco is ignoring AR, and AR just looks annoyed, so he talks to Eilengher. It's just so silly.
