The Eagles Offense May Have A Major Problem... | Pat McAfee Show
Analyzing Jaylen Hurts and Early Season Offensive Predictability
Learn why the Eagles' offensive predictability is being debated despite wins, and discover the core tenets of effective quarterback play that prioritize winning over volume statistics.
Short Summary
- Teams implementing aggressive first-down play-action and using two or more tight ends on early downs are showing the best offensive performance early in the season.
- Quarterback evaluation must focus on making the "right decision"—prioritizing the win—rather than chasing statistical milestones like 300 passing yards.
- The current NFL run game struggles are partly attributed to running backs lacking the necessary vision to capitalize on modern offensive spacing.
This discussion breaks down the nuance behind the critiques of the Philadelphia Eagles' early offense, specifically concerning quarterback Jaylen Herz’s style. The panel examines concerns over route predictability while contrasting that with a proven winning blueprint utilized by elite, execution-focused quarterbacks.

Same as last season 😂😂😂 worry, complain, win
Didn’t we do this last year lol
The Media pretends O.C is just a waterboy job. It actually takes time to jel when u have literally a New Play Caller every year. The Fact that they still Win is Championship vibes in itself.
This is how they looked last year in the 1st 4 games
It’s cuz we have an OC with no play calling experience during a superbowl window, again. lol
"Week two with a brand new offensive coordinator going against arguably the best defensive coordinator in the league sending an absurd amount of pressure towards the QB? Yup, time to question the offense's validity!" -The media
Noshawn wasn't on The Bronco's SB 50 team. It was CJ Anderson and Ronnie Hillman. Noshawn hadn't been on the roster for two years.
Dan is such a goofball and I love that you guys know it and rag on him.
It's almost like everyone forgot the Chiefs won an AFC Championship last year off the strength of a top 5 defense and are suprised Philly didn't move the ball effectively on the road against essentially the same defense.
It’s a winning problem. When you win so much people start to criticize how you win because they can no longer criticize you losing.
