My son made his first call home from boot camp last weekend after completing the Crucible and said you were at his EGA ceremony. He will love watching this once he’s home for a few days soon!

My son is at Paris Island RIGHT NOW! Alpha Company 1033! They completed the crucible Thursday to Saturday. Kudos Pat for going to support our Military, it means the world to me! Thats so amazing! As an army vet this feels weird, but as a Marine Dad OOOORAH SEMPER FI.

My Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SSgt. Paxson, was the toughest MF I ever met. He was the son of John Paxson (Chicago Bulls), who was the teammate of Michael Jordan. He told us a few stories about hanging out with 'Uncle' Jordan growing up. This man grew up with money but chose to dedicate his life to the corps. have never seen anyone work harder than him. I went through at the age of 24, in 1990 before Desert Storm kicked off. It was an adventure for sure. But was hilarious when they met my mother at parents night. They quickly figured out why they didn't break me. She broke a piece off in them, then got them drunk with her bar she had set up in our family vehicle. I ended up serving 28 years. Greatest years of my life. Thank you for showing some love for us.
