"Using other people's oss software doesn't mean you've cheated, it just means you're a standard regular tech company."

I don't understand why people get so upset when someone uses or forks open source? It's part of the license, it's literally in the name open source

Roy Lee here. Thanks for the thought Primeagen, you've been a programming inspiration of mine for years. Unfortunate that you disagree with the premise of the product, but I totally get it and if things go well for us and the product goes where we hope it will, I hope I can convert you. Also, Interview Coder was built entirely by myself + AI.

Nailed on the "its only getting worse" part. It's extremely easy to create an interview AI assist tool today, a college student did it. What do you think billion dollar companies can use AI to counter/detect that? Roy got his bucks, his tool will eventually die as a ChatGPT wrapper with keybindings and these will follow: - More onsite interviews - More people getting blacklisted for life - Online assessments will get more difficult/proctored because companies will assume you gonna use AI anyway All of the above proven to be happening already

The leetcode paradigm is almost identical to the PhD prerequisite exam I encountered in physics. Here's a bank of 500 questions. 15 are on the exam. Good luck & Godspeed.

No, you don't understand. I just want it to be EASY for ME, not EASY for EVERYONE ELSE

I would imagine giving candidates a mock system with a bug in it, and then asking them how they would debug it, is much more relevant and easier to see whether they are a good fit or not. Someone with experience or knowledge in the relevant field would understand where to begin looking, or make an educated guess without even looking at the code. It also shows WAY more of the thought process of the candidate and how they approach problems. Technical leetcode questions only assess your ability to think logically and apply what you know - it's more like an IQ test rather than an actual knowledge test and application test.

The real villains here are the tech companies breaking the law to make it possible to create tools like this.
