Finding ghost pipe during my childhood in Pennsylvania was absolutely surreal. I picked the weird "flower" and wanted to bring it home to my mother. Before I could, though, it turned black and wilted (I thought, due to sunlight) within such short time that I truly thought I found a vampire flower. That was truer than I realized but for completely different reasons! Glad to see you covering it!

Tis the season... Mistletoe is a hemiparasitic (semi-parasitic) plant. Grows high up on trees and leeches water from it, but it *does* photosynthesize.
