Comet C/2025 R3 PANSTARRS has recently swung by its closest approach to the Sun, and the lastest STEREO-A imagery shows the comet's tail stretching out about 100,000,000 kilometers behind it, soon to sweep by the Earth. This happens during a key point in time for Earth as it relates to its orbit around the Sun and the position of the Moon relative to this (1st quarter).
