remember when they changed the OT rules to save a handful of plays "for the players health", now we are talking 24 team playoffs adding numerous games to their wear and tear. make it make sense
At this point they should just play a round robin tournament between the big 4. it would only take about 3 years
Keep fighting for us Josh! No one wants a playoff bigger than 12 teams! Please be our voice!
My only expansion scenario, 14 teams. 1 play in game for the 12 seed, g5 vs 13 for the last spot
I've said this for a long time, if you really want more revenue in the sport just add live comments like YouTube to ESPN, ABC, CBS, SEC Network, etc. That are uncensored and fans have to pay $10 per comment. They'd make millions more per game
The nice thing about a 24 team playoff is it makes the top 25 actually relevant In the current era being ranked 23 means absolutely nothing except for teams to say “we got a ranked win”
It would significantly devalue the regular season. Allowing 4 loss teams to participate won't be a upgrade to the playoffs. Rivalry games will revert to seeding matchups. Basically college football will be the JR NFL. Revenue over competition.
Great points!!!! Speak up for the sport!!!
The CFP started with 2 teams then 10 years later it doubled to 4 then it tripled to 12 teams 10 years after that. So the most logical would be to quadruple the amount of teams in the playoff to 48 teams but not till 2033. That’s what they should do
