Russia did not say that the American peace proposal was acceptable, they said that a metting between Trump and Putin was acceptable.

ISTM what Russia called "acceptable" was the organization of a "summit" meeting between presidents Trump and Putin - NOT a "US peace plan" which, by the way, there hasn't been such thing !
