I was friends with this guests son ,I remember joining them for dinner which was an eye opening experience, my friend was not religious but had grown up in strong religious environment, over dinner you could see he was desperately trying to connect to his family and be excepted by them almost pleading , the silence was cold and poignant from his family , they eventually had my friend put away for mental health and pumped him with drugs ,he eventually took his own life , take from that what you will believers or non believers

Paul Fiddes argues that God's power is revealed not through coercion but through suffering love that transforms people and relationships. Is suffering love a sufficient response to evil, or does overcoming evil ultimately require something more?

Recently i purchased an Anthology called The Wisdom of the Zohar(3 vol. set) of which i have been wanting to study for quite awhile. I'm not looking to start anew, rather synthesis is what i seek most, for if any knowledge is said to be of God, then it should fit seemlessly with vedic metaphysics and platonics, of course, hermetics/alchemy and core gnostic doctrines, of which, i know it does. I remember Robert stating that his family are jewish if i recall.

Christianity is the only religion I know well enough I guess gave the most beautiful presentation of suffering and salvation through Christ and ironically in the name of Christ cause one of most sufferings

It is very difficult to take the suffering of others upon yourself. You have to cope with your sufferings yourself. However, self-control can minimize your sufferings.

If free will necessitates evil then we must not have free will in heaven unless there is evil in heaven

Prayer is asking God for the will to accept and follow His plan. 👍

The essence of love, is not suffering. It is human connection. Understanding that others are human like you and living in peace and collaboration. We are Earth People together on our planetary home, learning what and who we are and how to get along.
