Not only was the series cancelled by Netflix but there was also a time where these characters were out of the MCU. Treat like the kid whos been locked in the attic, they were brushed out the way and said they werent part of the series. Agents of Shield, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage...pretty every single tv show was decanonised. Eventually Netflix gave up the rights, and there were theories that Marvel would reboot with new actors. However there came some hope after a campaign started on twitter. The hashtag SaveDaredevil apparently caught Feiges attention and it made him change his mind. Though the gap was years and years he decided to bring the characters back. Slowly Charlie Cox rumours started to pop up and it wasnt too long before he appeared in some projects. She Hulk, Spider-Man No Way Home, they all featured moments with the character. However when they announced Dardevil Born again, fan expectation hit the roof. Born Agains probably the characters most famous arc and the frank miller classics been enjoyed by millions. The title Born Again of course also played into the idea of how a character we thought we'd lost would be reborn under Marvels leadership.
