๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ Huge Prawns in Thailand: https://youtu.be/gPNkOTYmD0E ๐Ÿ‘• T-shirts: https://store.migrationology.com/ MANGALORE, INDIA - Mangalore, on the West Coast of India in the state of Karnataka is a seafood paradise. Today weโ€™re going on a an ultimate Indian seafood tour! Get ready for some of the best fish fry and seafood masala in India! Dhakke Fish Market - Itโ€™s always good to know where you fresh seafood is coming from and so first thing we did was explore the central fish market. Mangalore is known for quite a large fishing industry. Hotel Narayana (https://maps.app.goo.gl/PzGqPqwgYESppMHX8) - Going to the fish market, youโ€™ll be ready to eat seafood and Hotel Narayana is famous for their fish fry and only fish fry. They have a variety of fish, especially kingfish and pomfret which they coat in their magical masala, and fry in coconut oil. Itโ€™s something truly incredible, especially with the crispy fried masala. Meals here cost about 500 INR ($6 USD) Machali Seafood (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Wzo6xuT4GSKy71Nx7) - Next up on this Indian food tour, Machali Seafood is known to be one of the best and most popular seafood restaurants in Mangalore and they attract a huge crowd everyday. We tried about a dozen different incredible dishes including their famous shell less crab ghee roast, pomfret green masala, and crispy rava fish fry. Giri Manjaโ€™s (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HAfs3xNBezsDhv4CA) - Another legendary seafood restaurant in Mangalore is Giri Manjaโ€™s. We tried their famous fish fry, golden prawns, and probably my favorite, the extra spicy Indian mackerel. Mangalore is a friendly city in South India where youโ€™ll find some mind blowing Indian seafood dishes. Itโ€™s an incredible place, highly recommended. South Indian curry is a cuisine out of this world. I lived in Goa and traveled to other south Indian states and the coastal dishes you get really pushes the limits of how much you can eat. Always leave the home or restaurant with a full belly with the taste lingering on your mind and mouth. Another great episode by Mark

I'm originally from Mumbai and moved to Bangalore quite recently, it's after moving to Bangalore that I realised the world of traditional region-wise south Indian food. Mangalore is clearly a paradise for seafood lovers and I cannot wait to go visit these places.

I have been a huge fan of this channel! I am so impressed by how respectful, non-prejudiced, and non-judgemental Mark Wiens is when it comes to exploring food from diverse cultures! I received my medical training in a med school in Mangalore and I had the opportunity to enjoy Mangalore seafood! So happy you guys came down to 'Narayana' and 'Machali' restaurants--our favorite sea food spots! The food is SO fresh and delicious! Thanks so much for covering Mangalore, Mark!
