The prime minister who says that a foreign war is his personal war should be put on trial for treason.
Finland has Helsinki that is aligned with EQ but the rest of the country from my many visits to southern and eastern Finland is like different countries. Since trade with Russia was banned it had little impact on Helsinki but the smaller towns in the south and east depended on thousands of Russian customers who boarded the hundreds of shopping buses, each half filled so the additional space was filled with 100kg of duty free perchance. Later they dropped that two 50-60kg duty free. I am an American who lives in St Petersburg and once or twice I went on the shopping buses and primarily bought bulk items in demand by my Russian Nabors. During the salmon season I brought back 100kg of wild salmon that all my friends begged for. The Finland salmon was wild while the Scandinavian type were farm salmon of much lower quality. Those small downs near the border were prosperous. Finland has demolished border crossing so those southern towns are boarded up and bankrupt. It seems that the rich in Helsinki are oblivious to the plight of the rural regions
America has poked the Bear. What they have failed (spectacularly) to understand, is the mindset.
The fact that the Wallenberg family was present at all the meetings between Finland and Sweden when they were about to walk hand in hand into the NATO trap tells me that arms deals take precedence over the good of the people. I think we are heading towards a darker future if we don't stand up and say stop now.
I can't imagine what free thinking Finns are thinking about Finland's abrupt ascension into NATO as they watch the GCC crumble under IR military pressure. They've now similarly made themselves a target for a far larger and more powerful nation they previously had peace and good relations with. Good luck, Finland
You forgot that the Finish was whit the Natzis in Barbados in the war.
Let’s face it. Nations do not care about the people.
Good luck to this young, budding but brave politician for next year's elections.
The politicians in Finland should all be put on trial for treason.
