I feel like Destiny created this show just to manage Dan's mid-life crisis.
always weird to think about all these vtubers joining an org when almost all of them were perfectly successful prior to joining. its not like the old days where you needed a talent agency to get big.
"It's a condition where her body is unable to produce immune cells." *Two seconds later* "This will be bad if it's actually a big deal, but.." Holy regarded?
Let's see how long it takes for one of them to point out something completely innocuous and pointless and start a 25-minute argument over it
I did immediately wonder why they would take Lilypichu's voice seriously and not Ironmouse. And then they were the ones to bring up the Lily comparison right after. Also, funny side note: Lily just recently had the Vtuber from that New Year's countdown clip on her podcast. Different avatar because of corpo ip transitioned back to indie.
This is probably the least insightful and information dense video on this topic. How is this 45 minutes lol. Keep this content for the Patreons we don't need it.
Dan can’t get it up, that’s why they refuse to stream the show to the superior platform that is YouTube
Dan confidently explaining machine clocks without having a clue was so funny, but also mildly infuriating. I thought we had correct takes here, but when they speak of something I know about, they sound retaded. Yes, quartz clocks drift with time and they can desync between devices, but the drift is small, less than a second per day. This isn't a lot, but it's still significant, especially over time, so there's a protocol called NTP that is used to synchronize clocks between systems. The most primitive algorithm (which I believe isn't the one used now) would look like this: A sends its timestamp to B, then B sends its timestamp back to A. A can then look at its timestamp again and see how much time the round trip took. A then makes an assumption that going from A to B takes the same time as going from B to A, so B's timestamp should be in the middle between A's timestamps. A then changes its clocks accordingly. So now we have an algorithm to sync clocks to an authority. Give that authority a very precise atomic clock, scatter similar servers around the globe and you're golden. Obviously, A to B trip can take a different amount of time than B to A for multiple reasons, so in practice you'd need a more robust algorithm, but this shows that in principle you can sync clocks between remote devices.
Destiny and Dan talking about the impossibility of authentication that's better than just a 10 digit code and a password, when Sweden's been using BankID for over a decade.
