I genuinely loved Fantastic 4, Superman, Thunderbolts. It’s crazy, I prefer F4 but I love all of them so it’s a win win win for me LOL.
As someone who grew up reading/watching Superman and Fantastic Four comics&cartoons i personally loved both equally.
The credits song was called "Let Us Be Devoured" and it was written for the movie. It's gotta be something from the Galactus cult that was mentioned at one point. I'm thinking there was a scene with the cultists singing the song but it got cut, and they just put the song in the credits with no context.
Aarons thoughts on the movie but in particular the mid credits scene is how I felt watching it I love how the movie can be standalone while also naturally setting up doomsday. As someone who is more cautiously optimistic than excited for doomsday I feel like after fantastic four I’m actually looking forward to seeing it

Fantastic 4 is an homage to the 60’s comics, the cheesiness and unrealistic ideals of characters in this movie reflect those in the comics back in the day. Reed Richards cannot lie and the public are willing to trust and cooperate with the authorities to a certain degree. It’s not supposed to mirror the political climate in our present society and beliefs of modern people. I actually expected them to portray Johnny as a womanizing asshole just like in the comics, but I suppose they thought it would be too big a risk and decided to tone him down. But I do like the fact that they portrayed Sue Storm as a mother and a strong feminine female lead that can be vulnerable at the same time.
I feel like Aaron and I were in the same screening. There was a strange amount of cheering for nicole kidman in my show as well.
When Sue came out and talked to the crowd with the baby that was hard. I loved that scene
The juxtaposition of Sue in labor, while simultaneously screaming for Johnny to protect the baby by killing the Surfer may have been my favorite moment that I couldn't possibly have imagined going in. Just the desperation of it. Also, her realization that baiting Galactus with Franklin was the only possibility for survival, sharply screaming "NO!!" at Reed while fading from sight. There were multiple moments in Kirby's performance that emotionally shook me up. She was amazing.
i find the "pedro is a creep" claims so funny especially about that willem stuff like his wife wrapped her arms around pedros neck to talk to him and willem kissed him in the mouth that same day 😭 maybe they are just all close idk
