My son is at West Point. He has a few more years. I cross my fingers every day and wish in every star that we will have some sanity and intelligence restored before he has to serve. I know I am not the only parent of his class that feels the same.

The Bulwark is absolutely my favorite way to find out what is happening in the news. I knew Mark Hertling when he was a major at the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth in 1988. He was a fine gentleman then and he still is in 2026. Congratulations Sarah on your book.
Thank you guys for recognizing the difficulties military families have to face under this regime. I haven’t been able to breathe properly in the past 13 days. My child wanted to get an education and military service was the only way without accruing debt. Now, debt doesn’t matter a bit to me anymore. ❤
