It really has been a crappy year…but my 75 year old dad beat lung cancer this year. So, in a way, it’s been the best year of my life. 🥰🎉
Every year is crazy if you pay attention enough. That being said, Hawk Tuah girl being as big of a news story as it did is just depressing. What should've been a meme for a single day turned into an entire cultural zeitgeist ffs

2024 was a horrible year for myself. And the worst part is that 2025 looks like it is going to be even worst... With that said, I wish everyone a good 2025.
2024 has been a really hard year for me personally. 27 years old, watched a close family member die as I tried to take care of them, work was the most stressful it's ever been, got horrendously betrayed and abused by a narcissist brother whom I once trusted, which has put me and my whole family in a very precarious financial situation. Staring down the possibility of homelessness now. Future career prospects are shaky thanks to AI and changes in the industry, and I have no prospects of getting married or having kids at the moment. This year kicked me while I was down. I will say however, it could have be worse - and NEVER say it can't get worse. This year proved me wrong time and again. I'm also thankful to God, truly. Without His providence and provision through times like this and trusting in that, as subtle as it may be sometimes, I'd probably have ended myself.

2019 was the last normal year. So many things seem surreal since the pandemic and almost everyone I know lost the ability to be happy despite good things happening to them.
