Lauded is one of the greatest films of all time this Sci-Fi classic changed cinema forever. Its a movie that show James Cameron wasnt just a one hit wonder and its influenced pretty much every action film that followed it. It also showed that the Alien franchise could become something massive and took things from being an excellent horror into an IP that was a worldwide phenomenon. Now Despite Alien being a smash hit, Fox was hesitant to make a sequel. This was mainly because they deemed it a fluke, and horror sequels never really did that well. However the production company behind the first film Brandywine had ideas and wouldnt stop until they brought these to the screen. They included stuff like a ship finding the alien out in space which would later end up as the set up for Romulus. They also had one where Jones the cat was a carrier which built off the alien seeing the cage in the climax of the first film. Both eventually got scrapped but there was one idea from both that stuck. That was the story would centre around the military.
