Arrested 16 times in 5 years?! Can we not put repeat offenders on a list or something?
They “did not owe a duty to Ms. Franklin to investigate her rape” I’m sorry what ?!? wtf are you here for?!?!? I’m pretty sure your duty is to “protect and serve” your community. That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard .. the mental gymnastics and cognitive dissonance it must have took to come up with that.. also did they somehow fail to connect the dots that would have prevented the murder of Eliza? Zero accountability ..
"maybe her husband should have been more forceful" as if a woman needs her husband's permission to do something as simple as running
It’s how the police department worked hard to solve Eliza’s case and gathered evidence within hours but failed her all at the same time because they chose to ignore Alesha’s case.
If it's not the time of day it's what we're wearing, if it's not what we're wearing it's where we were walking, if it's not where we were it's because we were alone or were we drinking? It's neverending. Nothing will ever change until our son's & brothers are raised correctly.
The fact that the professor blamed her for how she lost her life in this tragedy really reminded me of a quote from one of the books I read a few years ago “Like a compass needle that points north, a man's accusing finger always finds a woman” Truly what a disgusting thing to say about a women and a mother who has lost her life.
i can't imagine the horror alesha must have felt when she saw the news that the man that the cops just ignored for all those months had murdered someone
The fact that her husband called the police IMMEDIATELY when she wasn’t there when she would’ve been says so much about him. He truly loved her so much and that’s devastating
If the police had taken the first lady he tried to do this to seriously Eliza would still be here.
The blatant racism shown between the two women’s cases makes me ill-and that girl was so brave after her assault! Shame on those who could’ve done something
