This administration cutting medical assistance, food assistance, and now housing assistance. What an absolutely dystopian time to live in the US. With or without a full blown recession/depression, we're going to see an absolutely inhumane amount of suffering for the working poor and impoverished in this country. All for what? So rich millionaires and billionaires can keep jerking each other off while people starve to death or succumb to the elements? Genuinely sickening how cruel all of this is, and for no other reason than basic greed.

The phrase "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" originated in the late 1800s as a sarcastic description of an impossible feat. What is wrong with people?

I am mentally disabled, living on a housing voucher and getting by on food stamps and disability benefits. I was living in a homeless shelter before getting the voucher and moving into my current apartment literally A WEEK before covid lockdown. I have been in my apartment for five years, and I am extremely scared about these housing voucher cuts. I have been homeless twice, and I do not want to be homeless a third time. It is terrifying to know that my whole livelihood that I have worked so hard to make, despite my disability, could be taken away because our joke of a president wants to take the literal roofs over our heads away from us.

No more taxes until the government and elites are held accountable. Don’t care left or right must be held accountable.
