In my experience I'd say: do anything to prevent injury. One you get a ticket to snap city, things might never heal back to 100%. I've been rehabbing a shoulder injury from the gym for 4 years now. Partial biceps long head tendon tear / subscap tendon tear. It's been hell trying to get better. Basically still in the same pain 4 years later. Don't get injured folks. Dumb ego lifting was my cause. Nowadays, I just do rehab to try and life live pain free again

Don't forget that Ciprofloxacin is notorious for causing ligament and tendon problems. Most likely due to the nutrients it depletes out of the body.

There's an herb called Cissus Quadrangularis that is pretty robust at telling the body to lay down more collagen and heal acute tears.

Do a search for Keith Baar, a phd researcher on tendons and ligaments. He goes on a lot of podcasts to talk about exercises to strengthen and heal connective tissue. (spoiler: lots of isometrics)

Tendon training is very good. Isometric holds (45sec-60sec) in whatever tendon/joint u have problems. Makes the tendon relax and get nutrients in. This is what helped me a lot with recent nasty shoulder pain. And of course physio exercises - learning to do the movements better - incorporate the correct muscles.

Important to mention that if you want to avoid tendon injuries, you should avoid jerky or fast movements, instead focus on being accurate and controlled.
