I remember in the early 2000s, when I was a teenager, people in my class laughed at a young guy from another class who randomly approached them and said he was looking for friends. They thought he was pathetic because he didn’t have friends in the first place. Now nobody laughs about stuff like this anymore. Nobody cares anymore to be totally honest. Now, almost 30 years later, it seems completely normal to have no friends at all and to make no effort to find any.
