Chris doesn't have kids either. He's too busy conducting these talks with Millenial women with multiple degrees who _also_ have no children 😂
The birth rate debate isn’t just about population. It’s about meaning, economics, culture, family, and whether people still believe the future is worth building. A society stops growing long before the numbers show it.
When shit hits the fan, the last place you want to be is IN the city.
LOVE this group format style debates - I know its more guest bookings at once but please keep it up Chris!
I’m 66 and non of my Friends want to help with their Grandchildren! No one is addressing this major Generational Shift!
We switched from a family based society to a consumer based society. It’s ruined everything
Not having kids and choosing to not have kids are two different topics that can overlap. But I believe they should be treated separately.
Honestly, I find it hard to believe that 90% of women want children. Well, maybe the ones over 30, but Gen Z? I'm very skeptical.

41 year-old first time mother here. As an older millennial, I really appreciate this conversation. I have very strong memories of spending my entire 20s feeling depressed about the society that I was living in. Everything felt wrong. I felt like I didn’t want to be born into this era. I eventually worked past my insecurities and depression and found a partner I wanted to spend my life with. I got married at 37 years old and we had our first child at 40 years old. My husband was 52 years old at the time. I wish deeply we had more time to have more kids. I want deeply to have another baby. But we are very invested into a traditional life. We are both W-2 employees and we would not be able to sustain our lifestyle if I took a step back. The sacrifice that women make is deeper than I had ever imagined before having a baby, and so much of that sacrifice comes from the having no village, and that we must pay for any support that we need.
