Description

In 2001, Mike Wallace reported on "The Tiananmen Papers," transcripts detailing the Chinese government's response to the 1989 student protests in Tiananmen Square. The documents revealed the bitter debate among China's top leaders about whether to use force against the students. "60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. The media mostly focused on Beijing, and most of the footages taken are from there. However, large protests also happened in other cities, especially in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, and Chengdu.
