Choosing not to argue with someone who lives to argue makes them infuriated. It's a fabulous tactic, plus classy, and gives them no further fuel to fight with.

I will say this: it occurred to me earlier today that Sarah may well have killed the only person in her life who would have shown up to testify to her character at her sentencing. I find that really pitiable.

I love how somehow Boone thinks her wrath is so righteous that it somehow translates into her very own divine forgiveness that we should all be so lucky to have bestowed

it is SO TYPICAL of Boone that she thinks whatever the court-appointed lawyers were paid was somehow HER MONEY and they "owed her" her money's worth. OF COURSE she thinks the state "owes" her legal fees for DEFENDING HERSELF after she wasted so much public money with her insane self-glorification.

She murdered her boyfriend because she really imagines she has a RIGHT to be RIGHT no matter how wrong she is. She certainly stopped Jorge from using HIS "free speech" to argue with her, when she used the threat of calling the cops like a choke chain to control him.

She went to that “interrogation” with a list of questions for the detectives. She wasn’t there to simply pick up her phone

In her imagination, the judge was going to weep when he read this letter, and immediately let her go free. Also, she thinks she can dump all her anger on the judge, and still guilt trip him with the "i forgive you" bit. Like it isn't obvious to anyone over the age of 6 what she's doing.

swap "I forgive you" for "I hate you" and this letter makes so much more sense.
