@3:20 "Unrelated: Has anyone checked on Slade's bones recently?" The suspicion is real, haha.
Raven's outraged face when Beast Boy steals her cloak for the bit is hilarious.
Cyborg saying they’re in the first episode of season 4 in the first episode of season 4 is also a meta joke.
The scene where Raven gets randomly tackled in a football game always made me laugh because how absurd it is
"Those buttons on your remote that don't seem to do anything? I KNOW WHAT THEY'RE FOR!" That line has been stuck in my brain for years
That homewrecker joke was both extremely easy and extremely funny lmao
Unsure what's funnier: The series of stealth meta gags in the Control Freak episode, or Nikhil dusting off the A-game fastball improv and producing such gems as "That's what Milkmen do: They're homewreckers."
I love how the second episode is better remembered for the b-plot of everyone dressing like Robin than the a-plot of Robin training to defeat this one guy.
When Beast boy says the "Beast Boy Wonder" joke the visual gag is an homage to the cover of Detective comics #38, Robin's very first appearance. However the original cover said "The Sensational Character Find Of 1940", while the one in the show says 1965, which is the year of Doom Patrol #99, first appearance of Beast Boy. Its the minor details that really show how much love went into it's creation.
36:45 Of course Robin's not mad, if there's anyone who used to sharing a uniform it's our boy Tim Grayson
