I was hoping theyd point out how steven said " we won" when he got the Goddess statue and Layla said " we won" with the bingo. Tawerat isnt just a goddess of childbirth and fertility but rebirth as well.
Taweret also plays a role in rebirth of the dead, which might be why she's connected to Marc/Stephen in this. He may be dying or dead in the "real" world and she brings him back.
Erik doesn't understand how ammo works. They made a pretty big deal about that scene on their other video as well. Granted, the flare Layla used wouldn't have discharged those rounds that fast, but if it did, then what happened is very accurate. There's actually a very small chance she would've gotten hit by one, because they're only deadly at very close range if not fired from a gun. I also think the hallway rocking back and forth represents the boat of Anubis, not the scales.
One thing to mention: remember in ep 1 when Steven was in the museum with Donna, Steven points out that in the poster of the Ennead there are 7 deities showing while there are actually 9 deities. Then on episode 3 we see the Ennead and see 5 deities and 9 seats.
Definitely the callbacks to The Mummy and Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark were nice giveaways and the ending with One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest made the episode special. All the things that make Steven Grant with the Cupcake, his Fish, the Bingo game all coming into play. The Moon Knight action figure kind of felt like 4th wall break or it wasn't.
Marc mentioned about his partner who killed Layla's dad and also shot him. Maybe we'll get to see Bushman, moon knight's archenemy who killed him in comics.
"I am so confused right now." Was my initial reaction after watching the episode😅👍🏻
Also, let’s just take a second to praise Erik for the insane time and attention to detail he puts into his breakdown videos
I know the context is different from Legion show, but the fact Eric didn't mention (or find) the resemblance between those two shows make me feel that Legion is underrated (yes, Eric once was breaking down Legion trailer)
