America’s Next Crisis Is Scheduled for 2026 (w/ Steve Israel) | How to Fix It
The Einstein Conspiracy, Suburban Voters, and Structural Reforms to Fix American Politics
Uncover the real history fueling Steve Israel’s thriller, The Einstein Conspiracy, and learn the blueprint for Democrats to reclaim political ground by focusing on core suburban concerns and structural election integrity.
Short Summary
- Novel explores the critical tipping point where Einstein warned FDR about Hitler’s atomic research program.
- Israel details the alarming, documented proliferation of organized Nazism on Long Island during the 1930s.
- Suburban voters prioritize solutions, safety, and affordability over ideology, demanding parties shift focus from extremes.
- To fix electoral outcomes, enact campaign finance reform and prohibit partisan redistricting, which protects incumbents.
This conversation orients the reader by first exploring the historical fiction The Einstein Conspiracy, which connects WWII-era fascism to modern political hazards. Steve Israel transitions to offering direct analysis on how suburban voters determine national elections. He concludes by prescribing structural reforms needed to restore productive, bipartisan governance in Washington.

Sadly the people who most need to read this book, have neither insight, to realise they should, nor inclination to educate themselfves!
19:07 what he said about small business trying to get school bids is SO TRUE. I own small dairy farm and we make yogurt from our small herd of cows. I heard my local school where my child goes announced they are introducing a breakfast program that will serve “yogurt” and other cereals etc. This yogurt made by some larger corporation no where near us- highly processed full of sugar, low fat 🙄, but the local farm in your own community who happens to specialize in making yogurt can’t even get an opportunity to be the supplier for my own child’s school? And a contract like that would be awesome for a small business like ours. But the contract bids we don’t even know about and when we are seeking grants etc it is like trying to get approval for a space mission like he said to the point of nothing happening. People want things- local businesses want to provide these things- but instead it’s a race to the bottom for the shittiest cheapest crap we can get.
Excellent interview from beginning to end. We need more Steves in the Democratic Party. Fascinating history regarding FDR, Einstein and Long Island in the 1930s. Will def read the book. Could have listened for another hour. TY!
The elephant in the room thou is the abuse by small businesses. Dump the grease down the drain, dump the oil down the sewer, float the barrels down the river. Those things need over site as well
Article 1 is terrifying for WE THE PEOPLE who want leaders that will work for the American people!!!
We have gone from a system of government supposedly designed to keep one egotistical Tyrant from blowing it for all of us…to a Congress and legal system of ghouls and criminal enablers?
Thank you for giving James Amos the credit and honor he is due
