Maybe the simulation was the friends we made along the way
The question should be, how many “beings” are running different simulations.
Let's go! Never stop learning people. Knowledge is so important. Educate yourself and you will never fall victim to dangerous ideology. Thanks for this gem!
If memories fade, does the person disappear? Science suggests that memory is central to our identity, but it is not the whole of who we are. Dementia may steal names, faces, and life stories, yet it does not erase a person's humanity, dignity, or capacity to feel comfort, affection, fear, or love. Perhaps the better question is not whether the person disappears, but whether our way of recognizing them must change. When memory is lost, relationships are no longer built on shared recollections alone—they are sustained by compassion, presence, patience, and unconditional love. A person is more than the memories they can recall. They are also the life they have lived, the relationships they have shaped, and the impact they continue to have on those around them. Even when the mind cannot remember, the heart may still respond to a familiar voice, a favorite song, or the gentle touch of a loved one. So perhaps memories help tell our story, but they do not determine our worth. Even when memory fades, the person remains—deserving of dignity, respect, and love.
Can’t we all just get a lawn?
