KIMI just BROKE the AI Industry...

I was told that all the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put Humpty together again. It's truly ASTONISHING how many times the AI industry has BROKEN.

The API is WAY cheaper too. This is almost as good as Claud 4 apparently and cost a fraction as much. Definitely gonna disrupt things

I’ve been messing with it. I’ve gotta say it’s pretty terse. I enjoy it, but if I could imagine a human on the other end. It would be an angry old Chinese coder, chain-smoking cigarettes, and effortlessly hammering out code at mach Jesus while criticizing, my flowery design language and making fun of me for attempting to “vibe code“ an app. If I wasn’t myself in the 98th percentile of disagreeable personality types I might’ve been offended, but instead, I thanked it for its time and congratulated it on its lack of sycophancy algorithms. It replied with “ it’s more efficient for both of us this way” 😅 damn I just found my new lead dev.

People slept on Kimi k1.5. It was a top model multi-modal model - it just got over shadowed by deepseek R1 because deepseek was open source. This thing will be insane when they do the thinking version.
