yep Americans are just tired of the chaos. And it feels good. I'm not a democrat, but it feels good to know that there can be repurcusions... it's something quite a bit less than 'justice' or 'fairness', but that people, politics - aren't just a cynical, nihilistic endeavor. The people DO care, and can only be pushed so far. It feels like the universe is just a tad more in-line today.

The Flores contest was not about the Rio Grande area flipping back. After she was elected back in June her district TX 34 was re-drawn to include large parts of Bexar County (San Antonio) which typically votes blue. Joe Gonzalez switched districts since he lives in the newly drawn district (San Antonio) - this all lead to a perfect storm against Flores. Gerrymandering is to blame here.
