Among many others: The two mimes serving food at the party are Billy Crystal (good friend of Rob Reiner) and Dana Carvey. The maker of the Stonehenge piece was Oscar winning actress Angelica Huston. Artie Fufkin was played by Paul Shaffer, formerly with SNL, then band director for the David Letterman show for 11 years. Sir Eton-Hogg was played by Patrick Macnee who was John Steed in the British spy show “The Avengers” for 8 years. Fred Willard appears in most of the films written/directed by Christopher Guest.
“Terry Ladd” in the hotel lobby is played by Howard Hesseman, who was well-known as “Dr. Johnny Fever” on the great show “WKRP in Cincinnati.”
I love the rotating canker sores on the band members and groupies. It took me a couple times wating to notice, but now I can't unsee them!!😂😂
Every metal band took this personally back in the day 😂 what a backhanded compliment

All of the members of Spinal Tap are all very good musicians as well as being a great actors
Ahhh yes, Rob Reiner's directorial debut. Such a classic.
The "riff" at the end of Heavy Duty was “String Quintet in E, Op. 11 No. 5 – Minuet” by Luigi Boccherini. He was an Italian composer who dies in 1805. This peace has been used a lot in films such as Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Ace Ventura, etc.
