The amount of 'visitors' entering Ireland illegally currently is swamping the native population and causing lots of social problems, according to what's being reported by the man on the street at the moment. I'd certainly think twice about a decision to move there.
Ireland is no different than the UK, USA, Canada & Australia in my opinion. Lots of family in Ireland say the same thing regarding the trajectory.
Dublin in the thumbnail. Don't bring your money to Ireland. 41% tax on unrealized gains if you have ETFs. No Roth-IRA/ISA-like tax wrappers for post-tax investments. The list goes on...
Been in Dubai 20 years, love it, wouldn’t go anywhere else. Safety, no/low tax, luxury, well connected, multicultural, infrastructure, central location between east and west…checks all boxes (except nature/weather) but who gives a shit
I went to Dublin for a business meeting last week, and the last time I was there was in 2021 .. I did not recognise it.. very sad
There is a serious problem with housing in the Dublin area. Even for the wealthy it is difficult to find any property to buy or to rent.
