Learn More About Opera: https://opr.as/04-Opera-browser-pbsspacetime The James Webb Space Telescope found galaxies that are too ancient-looking for our young universe. You may have heard that, but it keeps finding them, and our recent efforts to solve this conundrum point in wildly different directions. Have we found galaxies older than the universe, or did we just learn something incredible about how galaxies form? I honestly love it when we detect things in the sky that simply does not agree with our theories and models. What I love even more is that the response is observe, rebuild the hypotheses, then the theories and models based on new data, and test again. True science is so awesome! The three greatest words in any language: I/we don't know.

Space Time loves Dr. Becky. I mean, we all love Dr. Becky, it's just cool to see science channels giving love to each other.

I love it when trusted science channels shout out other trusted science channels like Dr. Becky. It helps me to figure out which ones are useful and relevant.

The only positive thing I can garner from this channel's tenuous future is knowing they haven't already sold it to Palantir or Blackrock. Thank you PBS.

If you see something that by your theory cannot exist, your theory is wrong.

Usually the most obvious answer is the correct one. The universe is older than we think.
