Based on recent reports. Victory MMA & Fitness (San Diego, CA) The fire at this location, which occurred in February 2024, was officially attributed to an equipment failure in the men's sauna. The Cause: Investigators and the gym's official social media confirmed that the fire started in the second-floor sauna heating unit. The Impact: The building suffered significant smoke and fire damage on the second floor, leading to a temporary relocation to Clairemont. MMA legend Dean Lister, who lived at the gym, was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and minor burns but has since recovered.

I travelled to America from the UK in early 2024 hoping to train at Victory. Been wanting to go for years. It burned down about 2 weeks before I left for my trip. Still had a great time in SD, but hoping to come back and train in the new gym some day in the future!
