Yesterday I woke up sick and took the day off from work, hours later, just before my shift would have been over, my cat that I've raised for 13 years went to sleep and never woke up. The universe kept me home to comfort and say goodbye to my baby. And then it gifts me with this video, thank you The Why Files team!

I'll never forget when a girl I was dating ended up in the hospital, almost on her death-bed in the ICU, from Crohn's disease complications. I was only 18 and dropped everything, drove 2 hours away, and stayed at the hospital with her for a few weeks. I didn't have any money, any way to eat, or any way to get gas money to get back home. I didn't care about me. I just stayed by her bed when they would let me in, and spent the rest of my time either in the hospital chapel or outside side, praying nonstop for her to be ok. After going a little over a week without food, without any way to call anyone, or any gas to go anywhere, I finally threw in a little prayer for myself as well. I always felt like it would be selfish to pray for what I needed while she was laying there potentially dying, but over a week living off of water from the fountain and free coffee, I finally just prayed that God would just send a sandwich or something my way. I walked out of the chapel, walked outside to this little rest area, and this dude walked up and handed me $80. He said it wasn't from him, that it was from God, and that if I wanted to pay him back, help someone else when they need it. I'll never forget how completely shocked I was. I mean, immediately after I prayed for help, some total stranger, that I had never seen before, walks up and hands me $80. The girl ended up making a full, almost miraculous, recovery the very next day. She was transferred out of ICU and spent a couple or days being monitored, then was sent home. It still gives me chills when I think about what a, "slap-in-the-face," obvious answer to my prayer that was. Prayer 100% matters and works. You may not always get what you want, but you'll get what you need

I worked at a hospital where a volunteer was assigned to work with me. After months, she expressed her sadness at not being able to locate her twin brother for over 5 years. Turned out I had hired a contractor to do some work on my house, and it happened to be her twin.

After college, I lived about 350 miles from my parents. I got sick one night, vomiting etc. The following night, my mom called and asked how i was. Not wanting to worry her, I said that i was fine. She said, “Oh, I dreamed you were sick last night and I was worried about you.”

Heres a story that made our local paper in Moosejaw. My grandma came for a visit and really wanted to find her biological 1/2 siblings, she was born in moosejaw so she took me to the local library to do some research. Well we didnt find anything there and carried on walking around the town and stopped on a bench. Two others joined us and my grandma started talking to them about wanting to find these birth siblings and these two people were her family. Pretty cool story, my grandma was determined that day. I still remember that day.. I was 8, it was a beautiful day and I was so happy my grandma was taking me out to get my first library card. My own mother never wanted to spend her free time with us kids,but i always remember my grandma showing us the world and loving us
