That letter feels like it's written by a mother who would show up in white to her son's wedding.
Weird thought : isn't it almost worst if she wrote it before? Imagine she saw them arguing and than wrote a letter saying if you need to dispose of a body I'll come with a shovel
If she wrote it before road trip then I believe she certainly knew of DV prior and did nothing to report it to Gabby’s family and protected her son. She knew either way.
Given what the letter says, i don't think it would be unreasonable for the Laundries to lie in a deposition. The letter says the mom will do anything to protect her son.
Whether written before or after, it's a damning letter in my opinion.
I would be willing to bet that BL's tendencies to physical abuse was not new, and RL enabled the behavior. With toxic mothers such as this, it would be expected that she would enable the behavior, make excuses for it, and even victim blame to support it. Poor Gabby never would have had an allie in RL. This letter just oozes mother/wife dynamic.
