I support paying Chuck more. He's the best copilot for this show
This is my favorite show on the internet, hands down.
If space junk caused a chain reaction like Kessler Syndrome, what part of modern life do you think you'd miss the most, GPS, internet, or weather forecasts?
Most surprising part of this video was no Lord of the Rings jokes when talking about the Middle Earth orbit.
Thanks Neil for the sense of sheer dread, thanks Chuck for making it somehow funny and bearable, you're irreplaceable!
Chuck is worth a pay raise. He definitely adds tremendous value. The dialogue in the episodes he's in just seems much more natural. The episodes without him aren't bad but they aren't as good either.
Hi Dr Tyson!❤ StarTalk! I was working for Panamsat in 98 and we lost control of the Galaxy 4 spacecraft. The phones were going crazy with customers wanting to know what was happening. Around the US, 80% of pagers and credit card/ATM transactions we're not working. It affected hospitals, not being able to page staff. I guess the backup control processor failed. It was just one satellite and was freaking crazy.
So many satellites.Every time I look at a star cluster or planet with my binoculars there's nearly always a satellite that crosses my field of view.
So we're going to live on a prison planet but the twist is it's us keeping us here
I needed just one more thing to worry about before bed thank you guys.
